About Us

Kristi Casey and Steven Glude met three times before they became the powerhouse duo known as Mayberry Wine.

They first met when Kristi was six years old and Steven was eight. He walked her to her first day of school with a bunch of neighborhood kids.

They reconnected briefly in high school. Senior Steven directed freshman Kristi in her first high school play. But then they drifted apart.

In September 2022, they attended a mutual friend's concert. That third time was the charm. The singing/songwriting duo has been inseparable since, creating an average of 50 new songs a year, spanning genres from folk to blues, bossa nova to Western swing and everything in between, in the most delightfully passionate and playful way.

Steven Glude

Veteran musician Steven Glude has appeared on stages across America, Europe and Asia. We hear he’s big in the Philippines, where he appeared on national TV singing original songs. His inventive guitar compositions are the backbone of the Mayberry Wine sound, and his compositional touches can be felt throughout the band’s catalogue. Lyrically, he brings a playful intelligence and mature optimism to Mayberry Wine’s songs.

Kristi Casey

Creative alchemist Kristi Casey is a veteran of stages around the world and a former cast member of the legendary Boom Chicago Comedy Theatre in Amsterdam. A multi-instrumentalist, she plays a variety of woodwind, percussive and stringed instruments for Mayberry Wine. A prolific writer and visual artist, she is the author of several books of sci-fi/fantasy, nonfiction, poetry and art. But some of her favorite works are the songs she creates and plays for Mayberry Wine. Her unconventional harmonies, multi-instrumental acumen and lyrical poetry infuse the band’s music with magic and a sense of wonder.
